Refer an Opportunity or Special Situation
HPS Capital Partners works with industry partners, lenders, advisers, and clients across healthcare growth, property, development, construction, capital, and complex commercial situations.
A referral may involve a growth opportunity, a funding or property requirement, or early signs that the original plan is no longer being achieved.
Early referral allows HPSCP to assess the position before unnecessary delay reduces the available options.
What Can Be Referred?
Healthcare Growth and Ownership
- Business acquisitions
- New locations and multi-site expansion
- Property acquisition or development
- Leasing-to-ownership pathways
- Capital, management or transaction support
Property, Development and Construction
- Property developments and construction projects
- Cost-to-complete or funding gaps
- Delivery delays or contractor issues
- Refinancing, leasing, or exit uncertainty
- Assets requiring completion, repositioning or sale
Lender and Special Situations
- Lending exposures showing early warning signs
- Reporting, serviceability, or management concerns
- Businesses requiring stabilisation or recapitalisation
- Property or business situations moving outside the original plan
- Matters requiring independent oversight or lender-side representation
Healthcare remains HPSCP’s principal specialist sector. Broader property, development, construction, and business situations are considered selectively where HPSCP’s experience can contribute to a practical outcome.
What Should You Provide?
An initial referral should remain high-level and may include:
- The parties involved
- The nature of the opportunity or concern
- The property, project or business involved
- The current stage
- Key timing issues
- The assistance being requested
- Whether the client, borrower or relevant decision-maker has consented to contact
Do not provide commercially sensitive, privileged, personal or confidential documents at the initial stage unless you are authorised to do so.
The referring party should obtain the appropriate consent or authority before disclosing information.
Where required, confidentiality or non-disclosure arrangements can be established before detailed information is exchanged.
Submitting an initial referral does not itself create a confidentiality obligation or formal engagement.
A Clear Initial Review Process
1. Referral Received
HPSCP receives high-level information about the opportunity or situation. By submitting a referral, the referring party confirms they are authorised to share the information provided.
2. Initial Review and Pathway Assessment
HPSCP reviews the information provided and may contact the referrer only if clarification is required. HPSCP then considers whether the matter appears suited to a growth, property, capital, transaction, or Special Situations pathway. If the matter is not suited to HPSCP’s role, we will discuss this with the referrer where appropriate.
3. Client Contact and Referrer Feedback
Where there is a suitable basis to proceed, HPSCP may contact the client or relevant party and provide feedback to the referrer where authorised and appropriate.
Referral Fee Arrangements
Trusted referrals can be one of the most effective and cost-efficient ways to create new business opportunities.
HPSCP is open to discussing referral fee arrangements with eligible industry partners, subject to applicable law, disclosure requirements, and a written agreement.
Refer an Opportunity for Initial Review
Whether the matter involves healthcare growth, property, development, construction, capital, or a complex commercial situation, an early referral can help establish the position and identify the practical next step.
Initial discussions are exploratory and do not create an obligation for HPSCP to accept an engagement, provide capital, or proceed with a transaction.
By submitting this referral, you confirm that you are authorised to share the information provided. We will use your information to assess and respond to this referral. Our privacy statement is available on request.
